The small coastal town of Ahungalla is situation in the Galle district, in Sri Lanka’s Southern Province.
Primarily known for its wide palm belt and glorious sandy beaches, it is a popular tourist destination for sun worshippers looking to perfect their tan in a serene location. The most well known building in town is undoubtedly the luxury hotel Heritance Ahungalla, which overlooks the azure blue waters of the Indian Ocean. The hotel was designed by the famous Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa.
